Happy Turkey Day

What a great tie of year to take a minute to say thanks to all of our wonderful friends and family. We are so lick to have all of you in our lives. We had Papa Dan and Aunt Coleen and Marci and Bo over for Thanksgiving. The food was all fabulous. Quin loved the mashed potatoes and Chloe loved the pumpkin pie.

Our Fave Little Getaway

Several times each year we head over to Lincoln City where we head over to Chinook Winds Casino and Resort. It's a modest accommodation, but you can have dogs and order the best fish and chips room service. We usually head out to the beach for a couple of hours until our ears are chilled and cheeks are red from the whipping wind of the good ol' Oregon Coast. We watch sunset and order room service. It's affordable, kid friendly and only 2 hours away (not to mention there is a Coldstone Creamery right across the street). Here are some pics of our last visit. A Visit

We had a visit from G-ma Mary and Papa Gar this week, it was so great to see them. Quin loved being rocked to sleep by G-ma and Chloe loved identifying birds with Papa Gar. This morning Avy and Chloe drew portraits of each other with sidewalk chalk. We're headed to the beach for the night on Tuesday after work, the weather is supposed to be great!

Just Some Summer Fun!

Vegas, Baby!

We just got back from Vegas and had a great time! It was a big 30th celebration between Lindsay and her girlfriends. We took the kids to see the lions, M&M World, the pool and the arcade during the days. Then Jake and Nana would hang with the kids and get them down for a nap while Lindsay went to the pool with the girls. We would have dinner and the girls would stop by and see the kids and pick up Lindsay to go out for the evening. The kids had a great time seeing Nana and getting lots of personal attention.

Bragging...

I just wanted to come on here and brag on how well our little ones are getting along. Chloe takes care of Quin when they are riding in the back seat together. He has been coming with me to watch Chloe in her new dance class. She is loving it! Quin is full of smiles these days and Chloe has been teaching hi how to swat at the toys on his baby gym.

You never know what is going to come out of Chloe's mouth these days. I feel like she is my little mommy. Here are just a couple of things I have heard from her the last couple of days. "Mommy, I need you to cooperate with me", "You need to look at me when your talking to me", "buckle your belt so you can be safe" and authoritatively, "I need you to be quiet."

Camping in McCall

We just got back from a big road trip.  We went to Boise and visited with Great Grandma and Grandpa.  Chloe was so happy to see them.  G Gpa even danced with her!  I wish I'd had my camera.  We went camping over the weekend with Lorri and Ronnie and mom and dad.  It was a lot of fun.  We picked tons of huckleberries and took a swim in the creek.  Chloe absolutely loved camping.  Then we headed back and had a pool party at the Poole's house.  It was so great to see everyone and show off the kiddos.  Lisa even got Quin to laugh for the first time!

Quin has really started to smile a lot the last few days.  it just melts your heart.  Here are a couple of good one's I caught.

Chloe's New Bed

Chloe has been in a "big girl bed' for a couple of months now.  But, Grandpa Dan just made her a new bed to put the mattress in.  It is absolutely beautiful!  Here is a pic of her enjoying her new bed!

Like Pooh Bear Does It

Chloe has been boycotting veggies at all costs lately.  She was watching Winnie the Pooh today, so it gave me an idea. 

"I eat my peas with honey, I've done it all my life.  It makes the peas taste funny, but it keeps them on my knife."

The 4th of July and Such

The 4th of July was lots of fun for us all.  We sent Chloe to bed at 9:00 and Jake couldn't stand it, he had to go and wake her up to come join the fun.  She loved it.  She watched the fireworks in awe and even got to do a sparkler. 

We spent the night at the coast in a hotel.  It was Quin's first trip out.  Both kids did well.  Chloe was excited to stay on the floor in a sleeping bag with her best friend Pooh Bear.   We had a lot of fun playing in the sand and Bela had fun digging Bela sized holes.

Lindy visited last week.  We loved hanging out with her.  Here is Lindy and Quin.  Chloe loves Lindy.  They even made a "birthday

 cake" together even though it wasn't anyone's 

real birthday.  Lindy brought Chloe a

 hula girl outfit.  

Chloe's little friend Elliott visited and they had fun swimming and playing. 

Ballerina

Chloe went to her first ballet class on Thursday.  The parents only get to watch for the first class, then they are on their own until the last class.  It will be fun to see what they learn.  Her teacher seems fantastic!  The last one is with her good friend, Avy. They taught them "pizza feet", standing like a ballerina with their heels together and toes apart.  She seems to be loving it so far!

Introducing Quentin James May

At 10:10 am on Friday May 29th Quentin James May entered the world. He was 5 days earlier than his due date. Everything went smoothly. He enjoyed being held and loved on by all his grandparents. He was lucky enough to inherit his dad's cleft chin.  

Chloe was well entertained with all of the extra visitors for the first couple of weeks which made the transition much easier. Chloe is a proud big sister and everyone she meets, she says "I'm a BIG sister now.
